There have been discussions and debates in every generation on the question, “when will Jesus come again?” Over the years, people have given all kinds of predictions concerning the date of Jesus’ second coming and they have all proved false. The fact is, we do not know the exact date when Jesus will come again.
Jesus tells stories to illustrate the nature of His second coming. It is like servants waiting for the master who has gone to a wedding feast (vs.35‐38). It is like a robber who comes in the night unannounced (v.39).
The attitude of believers should be like a faithful House Manager who carries out his duties well, in the absence of his master (vs.42‐48). Like the servants in the story, we are to watch for the coming of Jesus all the time; 24/7.
The Romans divide the night into four watches while the Jews divide it into three watches (v.38). We are to be ready and alert to open the door for Him at once when He comes (see Revelation 3:20). It is certain that Jesus will come again; but the time of His coming is unknown (v.40).

• Lord Jesus, I eagerly wait to see you face to face when you come again.

› The love He has for us, and his plan that placed us on the path of spiritual success.
PRAY FOR:
› Grace to continue to yield our live s to Him daily, so that we can continue to be transformed into the image of His dear Son.
› Deliberate obedience to His word in SU that will ensure our growth and quality of Life.
. › Increased evidence of the Fruit of the Spirit of compassionate heart, kindness humility… As God’s chosen children.
PRAY AGAINST:
∷ Allowing earthly and unholy way of life among us in SU and our families.
∷ Resistance to God’s authority and other authorities God has place over our lives.
