The distribution of land is important but much more important is the God who allocates the land out of His generosity and faithfulness in fulfilling His promises. With clear boundary demarcations, we can avoid what we know today as tribal clashes. Our God is God of order and fairness.
Consider what He said about the Zadokites in v.11 and the special gift they received as a result (v.12). Unlike their fellow Levites, the Zadokites were found faithful when others failed. What are the things challenging our faithfulness to the Lord these days? Notice how the land apportioned to the Levites and priests is described and for which reason it cannot be sold (v.14). The long list of names we have in our readings today is for a purpose.
God knows all of us by name even before we were shaped in the womb. He has a plan for each one and supplies all our needs according to His plan. Let us learn to trust Him. Let us also reflect on the centrality of the sanctuary in the life of the community. Is it still possible for us to help bring God to the center of national life?

› Reminding us to lay our burdens on Him.
› Being in constant control about our paths in life.
PRAY FOR:
› Grace to continue to walk the narrow way, even if no one else around us does.
› Continuous trust in the Lord to guide and direct our lives as we daily submit all at the altar.
› Correct and deliberate application of the word of God, as we remain alert and sober in all we do.
PRAY AGAINST:
∷ Anything that will make us miss out on God’s Spiritual blessings, by making us miss His direction.
∷ Refusing to abide in Christ, thereby missing the opportunity to bear fruit.
