There’s an old saying: “Bloom where you’re planted.” In other words, we should make the very most of every opportunity to thrive where we are right now. To be Faith Keepers, we should become pleasant and productive, starting in the home, making our homes places of refreshment for our loved ones.
Are you a husband? Remember that your wife needs tenderness and verbal expressions of love. Are you a wife? Remember that your husband needs encouragement and respect. Are you a father? Your children need your time and attention. Are you a mother? Your children need the love and advice only moms can give. Are you a child? Learn all you can from your parents. Are you a teenager? Remember that your parents aren’t perfect, but you owe them your respect. Are you a grandparent? Your prayers and memories and affirmation can make all the difference in your grandkids’ lives.
None of us is perfect, but we can improve. We should be the best version of who we are where we are. What can you do today to make your home a more refreshing place for each one?
A family means belonging to each other, affected by each other, compassionate for each other, concerned about each other, interested in each other.
