Today’s Reading
Philippians 4:10-13

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)

As I walked along the road one sweltering summer morning, my mind was a jumble of worries. Recent problems — property disputes, family issues, and the uncertainty of the future — bore down on me like a physical force, making every step feel like a struggle with no end in sight.

Just then, I noticed an elderly man pulling a handcart loaded with scraps. His ragged clothes and weathered skin spoke of a life of hardship. Yet despite the heat and his apparent poverty, he was singing and worshiping the Lord with joy. Then I saw the words written on his handcart: “God is Love.” Seeing someone in such a difficult situation proclaim God’s love was inspiring.

That man taught me a valuable lesson. He was a living embodiment of the power of faith and trust — a stark contrast to me, stuck in my worries and fears. His example was a powerful reminder that God’s love never fails. All I needed to do was learn to feel it, trust in it, and let it guide me.
