6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Streams of Joy Sunday July 20, 2025 Devotional – MESSAGE
In our Focal Scripture, the vinedresser offered to dig about the fig tree, and to dung it. Ordinarily, the vinedresser’s duty was to dress the vine. The focal assignment of the vinedresser was the vine, not the fig tree that found itself amongst the vine. Notice that when it was time to help, it was this same vinedresser that came to the rescue of the fig tree. The help that came the way of the fig tree came through an unlikely source.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the help of God is coming your way through unlikely sources. Men you least expect to help you, will be the ones to show up with the help you need. Men who have no business helping you, will arise and help you. Men with the exact help you need, will come to you with help against all odds. Men with the capacity to birth your new season will locate you with the help you need.
The vinedresser had a primary assignment of dressing the vine, but he set aside that assignment in order to show kindness to the fig tree. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in the second half of 2025, men will abandon their primary assignment in order to favour you. Men will leave what matters most to them, in order to show you the kindness of God. Men will go above and beyond their mandate in order to bring you heaven’s portion for you.
You may be used to help that comes from those who are obligated to help you. You may be used to the help of those who are ordinarily postured to help you. In this season, get set for the help of men who have no personal commitment to you. Get set for the help of men who may not even know you from anywhere. Get set for the help of men who are mandated by God to help you. Get set for help from unexpected sources.
This is your season to receive help from all sides, from unexpected quarters. This is your season of help from unlikely sources.
Psalm 50: 2 says: “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.”
DECLARATION: I receive help from unlikely sources, in Jesus’ name!
