MEMORY VERSE: “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55: 9)
SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 26: 1-14
FOCUS: “And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:” (Genesis 26: 2)
In our Focal Scripture, God commanded Isaac not to go down to Egypt. So Isaac was already plotting to go down to Egypt like his father did when there was a famine (see Genesis 12 vs. 10). Isaac had already gone to Gerar and was moving in the direction of Egypt when God stopped him from going any further. Heaven interrupted the movement of Isaac to Egypt. God saw the direction that Isaac was going to, and interrupted him divinely.
Friend, when a man is in a place where heaven did not destine for him, he appears to have signed a contract with frustration. When a man is in a place where the finger of God is not in his favour, everything goes wrong at the same time. When a man completes the journey of error, sometimes, he is not alive to tell the story. When a man completes a journey in the wrong direction, he may end in destruction.
Today, I pray for you: in times when you are moving in the wrong direction, may heaven interrupt you. May heaven interrupt you from every journey that will stagnate or consume your destiny. May heaven interrupt you if you are on any journey that will cut short your life. May heaven interrupt you at any time when you are making mistakes that will swallow you. May heaven interrupt you when you are in any journey of pain.
If there be any bad decision you are about to make in your career, business, ministry, family, finances, etc. may the Lord arise and interrupt you. If it is a decision that will affect you negatively, may the Lord interrupt it. May God stop you from making choices that will hurt your destiny. May the Lord stop those who are making the wrong decisions against you. May the Lord interrupt the conspiracies that have been hatched against you.
Remember, one of the blessings of Isaac was the blessing of divine interruption. May the Lord arise and interrupt every decision, verdict, conspiracy, choice, etc. that is not in your favour.
DECLARATION: Everything that is not in my favour is divinely interrupted, in Jesus’ name!
