TOPIC: No Covering
FOCUS SCRIPTURE: “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” (Matthew 5: 15)
Streams of Joy Devotional 26th February 2023 MESSAGE
In our Focal Scripture, Jesus affirmed that men do not light a candle and put it under a bushel. A bushel is comparable to a bowl. So Jesus inferred that men do not put on a light and cover it so that the light cannot be seen. Jesus inferred that when men put on a light, they do not cover it. Notice that Jesus did not speak of turning off the light; He spoke about covering it. So this was a scenario of a shining light that is placed under a covering.
One of the strategies of the enemy is to cover your light. The enemy may not always want to put off your light, but he may try to cover it so that men will not notice your shining. The enemy may allow you to remain a superstar, but you may never be noticed by the men you need and those that need you. The enemy may not put off your light, but he wants you to be in that place where the essence of your shining is lost forever.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2023 and beyond, your light will not be covered. You are that light that will not be put under a bushel. You are that light that will not be placed in obscurity. You are that light that will not be put in a disadvantageous position. You are that light that will not be extinguished by forces of darkness. You are that light that will not operate under the cover of darkness. You are that light that will not be swallowed.
It will never be said that you were shining but no one noticed you. It will never be said that you were a star under cover. It will never be said that your light went through 2023 unnoticed. Every conspiracy to cover your light, let the fire of God answer. I tear every satanic covering on your destiny. I tear every covering on your career, business, ministry, family, marriage, etc. You will not be in the new and wear the garment of the old.
You belong to that generation that will not be covered in 2023 and beyond. You belong to that generation that will not shine in obscurity. You are that light that will never be covered.
Isaiah 25: 7 says: “And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.”
DECLARATION: My light will not be covered, in Jesus’ name!
