SCRIPTURE: “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,” (Matthew 2: 1)
STREAMS OF JOY DAILY DEVOTIONAL 22ND DECEMBER 2022 MESSAGE
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Jesus was born, in the days of Herod the king. Herod ran a dynasty that needs no introduction. It was this Herod that ordered that children who were two years and below be killed, all in a bid to get at Jesus. Herod was wickedness in human form. His reign was clearly a reign of terror. It was in this season of negativity that Jesus was born. The wickedness of Herod did not stop the emergence of Jesus.
Friend, as 2022 draws to a close, hear me as I hear the Lord: the wickedness of the Herod’s of this world will not stop your emergence. The negativity you are surrounded with, will not stop your rising. The wickedness of the wicked around you will not stop the manifestation of God’s will for your life. The attacks of the enemy against you, will not rewrite the will of heaven for your life. Your environment will not swallow your greatness.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: no matter the arrangements that your ‘Herod’ may have made to stop your destiny, I decree that you cannot be stopped. Your emergence will not be stopped. Your new season will not be stopped. The divine mandate on your life will not be stopped. Your congratulations will not be stopped. Your new doors and gates that are about to open, will not be suddenly shut by the Herod’s of this world.
Remarkably, Jesus eventually outlived Herod and returned to Judea after a while. So He prevailed against the negativity that came to swallow Him. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will outlive every Herod that has come to swallow your destiny. You will outlive every negativity that wants to end your destiny. You will crossover into 2023, but whatever Herod that has followed you till this month will not cross over with you.
You belong to that unstoppable generation that cannot be stopped by the Herod’s of this world. If God be for you, no Herod can stop you.
Psalm 18: 29 says: “For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.”
DECLARATION: No Herod can stop me, in Jesus’ name!
