TOPIC: Lord of Mercy
MEMORY VERSE
“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” (Psalm 102: 13)
SCRIPTURE READING: Mark 10: 46-52
FOCUS: “And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” (Mark 10: 47)
MESSAGE: In our Focal Scripture, blind Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus for mercy. Bartimaeus was blind and needed to receive his sight, and he simply cried to Jesus for mercy. Bartimaeus pleaded with Jesus to show him mercy. Mercy was the platform on which he sought to receive his miracle. Mercy was the platform on which he sought a better a life. Mercy was the platform on which he demanded for what later became an instant miracle.
Friend, when El Roi arises in mercy, long standing challenges are put to flight. When El Roi arises in mercy, impossibilities are rolled away. When El Roi arises in mercy, He brings the same results that no man can bring to you. when El Roi arises in mercy, He rewrites the story of your life. When El Roi arises in mercy, He disconnects whatever negativity that has been attached to you for years. When El Roi arises, mercy prevails over judgement.
When the mercy of God speaks, even when you are guilty, there is a way out. When the mercy of El Roi speaks, negative identities are swiftly swept away. When the mercy of El Roi comes into play, the same men who mocked you in time past will have no option but to turn around and celebrate you. When mercy speaks, the floodgates of speedy answers are opened, and grace replaces efforts. When mercy speaks, miracles are next.
In 2024, you are the candidate of the mercies of El Roi. Mercy will speak for you. Mercy will change your story for good. Mercy will cause a turnaround that sounds like lies. Mercy will open new chapters in your destiny. Mercy will give you a new start wherever men had written you off. Mercy will cause you to rise above whatever held you down last year. Mercy will cause you to be an evidence of the goodness of God.
Welcome to that season where the mercy of God will speak for you. The same way mercy spoke for blind Bartimaeus, and blindness ended speedily, mercy will speak for you and will end cycles of negativity in your life.
DECLARATION
O Lord, in 2024, show me mercy, in Jesus’ name!
