TOPIC: Other Men’s Labour
MEMORY VERSE: “I have sent you out to harvest a field that you haven’t planted, where many others have labored long and hard before you. And now you are privileged to profit from their labors and reap the harvest.” (John 4: 38 TPT)
SCRIPTURE READING: PSALM 18: 43-48
FOCUS: “Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.” (Psalm 18: 43)
Streams of Joy Devotional 11th March 2023 MESSAGE:
In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist proclaimed that a people he has not known will serve him. The word ‘serve’ as used in that scripture, comes from the Hebrew word ‘abad’, which means to till the ground. God had told Adam that he would need to till the ground in order to feed. Notice that for the psalmist, people who did not know him were going to till the ground to make him rich. Strangers were going to work for his greatness.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: God is raising strangers that will till your ground. God is sending you men whose labours will give you results. God is sending you men who will work for you to gain the new heights you wish to attain. God is sending you men who will enable you to be fruitful. God is sending you strangers that will work for you without knowing you. God will send you men who will cause your grounds to yield increase.
The psalmist had grounds to till, and God sent him men who would do the labour while he possesses the results. Others were to labour and he would enjoy the harvest. Hear me as I hear the Lord: others will labour and you will enjoy the harvest. Others will till the ground but you will go home with the increase. Others will make efforts but yours will be the results. Others will use their capacity to make new things happen for you.
No longer shall it be said that you had to labour alone on your grounds. You will never lack men that will till your grounds. You will never lack men that will help you to rise. You will never lack men that will speak in your favour. You will never lack men that will open doors for you. You will never lack men that will cause your light to shine brighter and brighter. You will never lack men that will announce you to your generation.
Welcome to that season where others will till your grounds while you enjoy the increase. Welcome to that season where the labour of others will work in your favour.
DECLARATION: Strangers will till my grounds; men will labour for my favour, in Jesus’ name!
