TOPIC: It’s Coming To You
MEMORY VERSE
“The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.” (Psalm 16: 6)
SCRIPTURE READING: John 5: 1-14 (KJV)
1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
FOCUS VERSE:

Streams of Joy Thursday August 7, 2025 Devotional – MESSAGE
In our Focal Scripture, the man at the pool of Bethesda gave Jesus another reason why he had been sick with infirmity for thirty-eight years. According to that man, each time he tried to get to the pool, someone else got there before him. He kept chasing for his healing, but he never got it. He kept going for it, but he was always late. Notice that when Jesus showed up, he didn’t need to go for his healing; his healing came to him.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: what you are seeking will come seeking for you. What you are chasing for will come chasing after you. The results you have been running after, will come running after you. The helpers you have been running after, will come running after you. The opportunities you have been running after, will come running after you. The open doors you have been running after, will come running after you.
There will be times when you truly need to chase after the things you need, but hear me as I hear the Lord: you have now entered a new season where what you need will come right to your doorstep. You have entered a season where your portion will come to you courtesy of El Roi. You have entered a season where you will not need to struggle for the same things you struggled for in time past. Your season of struggles, has come to an end.
You will not live your life in a perpetual chase for what you need. You will not live in perpetual competition with your contemporaries. You will not remain in an endless rat race chasing for the same opportunities that others are chasing after. The same Jesus that made it an easy journey for the man at the pool, will make you enjoy an easy journey devoid of a needless chase. The same Jesus that brought that man’s healing, will bring yours.
Welcome to your new season: you will not chase after it, you will not cry for it, you will not die for it, you will not suffer for it, but you will get it at your doorstep.
DECLARATION:
I may not see the signs, but I will carry my evidence, in Jesus’ name!
