SCRIPTURE READING: John 5: 1-12 (KJV)
1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
FOCUS VERSE:
“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” (John 5: 7)

Whilst telling the tale of why he was yet to be healed, the man at the pool of Bethesda told Jesus that an angel came in certain seasons to stir the waters. So, before anyone got healed, there would be a sound of the stirring of waters. Before anyone could get healed, there would be a sound suggesting that a miracle was on the way. It was a miracle that came with noise; it was a miracle that came with signs. Jesus showed up quietly, with no noise, and He healed the man at the pool.
Friend, I pray for you: there may be no shaking and no signs, but you will have your miracles. You may not see anything suggesting that your portion is coming, but you will have what is yours. You may not see the signs of the breakthroughs you seek, but they are coming your way all the same. You may not see the signs of the new levels that are coming your way, but God is about to make it happen. Your miracle will come without signs.
The man at the pool was waiting for the waters to be stirred, but he ended up getting his miracle without the stirring of waters. You may need to stop waiting for the waters to be stirred; stop waiting for helpers to smile at you; stop waiting for things to seem to be in your favour; stop waiting for everything to work in the way you planned or expected; stop waiting for ‘angels’ to show up; stop waiting for signs before you embrace your portion.
It may not look like it but you will not be denied. It may not look like it but you will not be disappointed. You may not see the signs but you shall have what God has destined for you. You may not see the wind or rain, but your valleys shall be filled with water. You may not see the signs, but the results you have been waiting for will manifest sooner than later. Others may be waiting for signs, but your portion will come without signs.
Stop waiting for signs and just keep your eyes on God. Keep your eyes of Him who sits on the throne, and your miracles will come without signs.
2 Kings 3: 17 says: “For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.”
DECLARATION: I may not see the signs, but I will carry my evidence, in Jesus’ name!
