FOCUS VERSE
“Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:” (Matthew 13: 24)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of a parable of the kingdom, involving a man which sowed good seed in his field. This man did not just have a field; he planted in his field. Whatever harvest he wanted to see in his field, he sowed the seeds that will cause them to happen. He was not a watcher of fields; he was a sower. The example that Jesus gave about the kingdom, was about a man who could sow. Jesus’ example involved sowing.
Friend, what are you sowing in your field? What are you investing into your tomorrow? What impression are you leaving in the places where your name is mentioned? What impact are you making with the opportunities you have? What are you investing into your business, career, ministry, etc.? What are you planting with the opportunities that God has given you? What are you sowing into your life and into your future?
Start sowing efforts, dedication, competence, commitment, dedication, efficiency, great ethics, etc. in whatever assignment that comes your way. Sow the seed of goodness; sow the seed of kindness; sow the seed of a good name; sow the seed of excellence; sow the seed of good works; sow the seed of consistency; work hard in your field; work while no one is working; work hard even if no one is watching; sow the seed that births a harvest.
Kingdom is all about sowing. Greatness is all about sowing. People who sow nothing end up with nothing. People who sow nothing become spectators in other people’s harvest. If you have nothing to sow, you just might have nothing to reap. If you do nothing while others are doing something, you may end up with nothing when the chips are down. Don’t sit back and expect huge things if you are not willing to roll up your sleeves.
This is that season where you must be intentional with the seed you are sowing. May you not come to your time of harvest, only to realize that you sowed nothing or sowed wrongly.
Genesis 8: 22 says: “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”
DECLARATION: I will sow the seeds that will birth my harvest, in Jesus’ name!
