Streams of Joy Daily Devotional 19th June 2026, Friday Devotional Message
TOPIC:IT’S A COMMAND
FOCUS VERSE: “And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.” (Mark 10: 49)
TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Jesus stood still, having heard the voice of Bartimaeus, and commanded that he be called. Notice that there had been dissenting voices, suggesting that Bartimaeus should be silenced. Jesus gave a command, and the same men who did not want the voice of Bartimaeus to be heard, became the announcers of his good news. Jesus gave a command, and everything changed rapidly and speedily.
Friend, God is giving a command for your chapters to be opened. God is giving a command for the kings of this world to show you the kindness of God. God is giving a command for the wicked men on your pathway to give way. God is giving a command that your health be restored to normal. God is giving a command for your good news and congratulations to arrive speedily. God is giving a command for your new season to begin.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: by the decree of El Roi, the days of struggling are over. By the command of El Roi, sickness has been defeated. By the decree of El Roi, your new chapters are opening speedily. By the command of El Roi, your enemies have been dethroned in your favour. By the decree of the Lord, what you prayed for is becoming your evidence. By the decree of the Lord, your doors and gates have been flung open.
Jesus did not just suggest that Bartimaeus could come to Him. He commanded that he be called, and even the haters of Bartimaeus had to obey the command. When the Lord issues a command, even your haters will have no option but to obey. When the Lord issues a command, even the people who believe that you do not deserve it will be forced to change their speeches. When the Lord speaks, everything and everyone will align.
Welcome to that season where the command of the Lord will cause your results to be birthed speedily. Welcome to that season where the voice of the Lord will cause your new season to emerge.
Psalm 147: 15 says: “He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.”
