Streams of Joy 7 July 2025 Devotional (Monday) Message
TOPIC: A Better Harvest
SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 13
FOCUS VERSE: “He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.” (Luke 13: 6)
One striking characteristic of the fig tree is its tendency for incremental harvest. According to agriculturists, fig trees have a tendency to yield a harvest that is remarkably more than whatever harvest they brought forth before. So, as the fruits come forth in one season, there is a tendency for even more fruits to come in the next harvest season. It moves from harvest at one level to harvest at a higher level and higher proportions.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are like the fig tree planted by the Lord, and in this second half of 2025, you will yield more harvest than you did in the first half. You will achieve more than you achieved in the first half of the year. You will accomplish more than you ever accomplished in time past. Your efforts will bring more results than they did the last time. Your harvest will exceed the harvest you achieved in time past.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: in the same places where you already began to see a harvest in the first half of the year, get set for a higher harvest. Get set for harvest that will break old records. Get set for harvest that will shock your haters and naysayers. Get set for harvest that will attract the envy of people around you. Get set for harvest that will make you the talk of town. Get set for harvest that will be above all you have seen.
I pray for you: may it never be said that your harvest began a journey of decline. May it never be said that you went from progressing to retrogressing. May it never be said that the very best of your harvest came in the past. May it never be said that you have a better yesterday. As surely as the Lord lives, your harvest today will be better than your harvest yesterday; and your harvest tomorrow will be better than today’s harvest.
Welcome to your season of incremental harvest. Welcome to that season where every harvest will be greater than the former.
Proverbs 4: 18 says: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
DECLARATION: My harvest today will exceed yesterday’s harvest, and my harvest tomorrow will exceed today’s harvest, in Jesus’ name!
