Streams of Joy 4th October 2024 Daily Devotional (Friday) Message
TOPIC: No Reduction
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Psalm 23
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23: 1)
In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist declared that the Lord is his shepherd, and that he shall not want. The word ‘want’ as used in that scripture, comes from a Hebrew word ‘chacer’ (pronounced khaw-sare). One of the meanings of ‘chacer’ is ‘decrease’ or ‘lessen’. So, the psalmist inferred that because the Lord is his shepherd, he will not be decreased or be made less. He inferred that because the Lord is his shepherd, he will not be reduced.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: because the Lord is your shepherd, you will not be reduced. Your life will not be less than it used to be. You will not decrease. You will not be diminished. You will not be brought lower. You will not go down in destiny. You will not go down. The standard of your life will not be brought down. You will not move from high places to low places. You will not move from abundance to lack. You will not go down.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: because the Lord is your shepherd, you will not have a better yesterday. You will never stop moving forward and start moving backwards. It will never be said that your results went down. You will not embark on a journey of decline. Your health will not decline. Your results will not decline. Your family will not be reduced. Your finances will not go down. Your influence and relevance will not be less.
I pray for you: as you journey with God, you will journey into more. You will be more on all sides. Your greatness will be more. Your growth will be more. Your good news will be more. Your congratulations will be more. Your harvest will be more. Your influence will be more. God will cause your paths to shine brighter and brighter until the perfect day. God will cause your life to be a tale of perpetual increase, with no reduction.
Systems of hell that say you will be reduced, the Lord is against them, and they will not prevail. It will never be said that your life was reduced.
Proverbs 4: 18 says: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
DECLARATION: My life will not be reduced; I will not be less than I used to be, in Jesus’ name!
