Streams of Joy 28th November 2024 Daily Devotional (Thursday) Message
TOPIC: No Darkness
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Acts 16:16-29
“Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,” (Acts 16: 29)
In our Focal Scripture, the jailor called for a light. So, prior to that moment, Paul and Silas had been in the dark, in prison. The environment around them in the prison was dark, and after the earthquake that heaven sent, the jailor sent for light. So, their adversaries created darkness around them. Their adversaries created an environment where there was no light. Their adversaries put them into an environment of darkness.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: there shall be no darkness around you. There shall be no darkness in your destiny; there shall be no darkness in your family; there shall be no darkness in your ministry; there shall be no darkness in your career; there shall be no darkness in your health; there shall be no darkness in the works of your hands; there shall be no darkness in your children; there shall be no darkness in your territory.
When there is darkness, there is no visibility. So, their adversaries created a situation where there would be no visibility for Paul and Silas. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every attack of the enemy on your visibility, I command it to scatter by fire. You will not be in the dark. You will not be in confinement. You will not be in obscurity. You will not be in that place where your generation will not see you. You will not be in darkness.
Today, I decree, wherever there has been darkness, let there be light. Wherever there has been obscurity, let there be visibility. Wherever there has been negativity, let the hand of the Lord turn things around. Let there be light in your family. Let there be light in your business. Let there be light upon your capacity and ability. Let there be light upon your dreams and visions. Let there be light all around you.
The days of darkness are over. Let there be light. Let the light consume every darkness that hitherto existed around you.
Isaiah 60: 20 says: “Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.”
DECLARATION: My light has come; darkness has ended, in Jesus’ name!
