Streams of Joy 22nd February 2025 Daily Devotional (Saturday) Message
TOPIC: No Bondage
“And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” (Luke 13: 16)
In our Focal Scripture, Jesus gave clarity into the true situation of that woman who had been afflicted by the spirit of infirmity. According to Jesus, she was a daughter of Abraham who had been bound by Satan. She was a daughter of Abraham who should be a beneficiary of the covenant of Abraham, but bound by Satan for eighteen years. So, her situation was a case of bondage. Her situation was a case of being tied by Satan.
Friend, I pray for you: wherever your destiny has been tied, I command it to be loosed. I command every bondage on your destiny to come to an end. I command every bondage on your life to come to an end. I command every bondage on your spirit man to be broken. I command every bondage on the works of your hands to be broken. I command every bondage against your increase to be broken. I break every bondage around you.
That woman was a daughter of Abraham, but Satan managed to bind her in bondage for eighteen years. She had no business being bound as a daughter of Abraham, but that was her lot. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every bondage that has come to make a mess of your identity in Christ, I command it to come to an end. I halt every bondage that wants to offer you what you do not deserve as a child of God.
Jesus did not redeem you so that you can remain in bondage. Jesus did not redeem you so that Satan can have his way in your life. Jesus redeemed you so that your life will no longer be under the chains of the enemy. Jesus redeemed you so that no yoke of bondage will remain in your life. Refuse to be under the yoke of the enemy. Refuse to be made a slave to the enemy. Refuse to be tied by the enemy. Refuse to be under bondage.
Every bondage in your life has come to an end. No longer shall it be said that the enemy has your life under lock and key.
Isaiah 10: 27 says: “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”
TODAY’S DECLARATION: Jesus has set me free; I will not be bound anymore, in Jesus’ name!
