Streams of Joy 20th April 2025 Devotional (Sunday) Message

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 8:26-39
MEMORY VERSE
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” (Ephesians 1: 18)
FOCUS VERSE:
“Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” (Luke 8: 35)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how some people came forth to see what Jesus had done with the unclean spirits, and they found the man out of whom the unclean spirits were cast out, sitting at the feet of Jesus. The powers of darkness were dismantled in the life of this man, and he took a new posture of sitting at the feet of Jesus. The moment demons were sent out of his life, his first move was to sit at the feet of Jesus.
Friend, the devil is unsettled when you sit at the feet of the Master to learn from Him. The enemy is unsettled by the new things you are learning in Christ. The enemy is unsettled by the new revelations that you are embracing in Christ. The enemy is unsettled when you invest your time to grow your intimacy with Jesus. The enemy is unsettled by your growing understanding of scripture. The enemy is unsettled as you learn from Jesus.
You may need to do an audit of your learning. What new thing are you learning from Christ? What new thing are you imbibing in Christ? What new scriptures are you learning? What is God showing you as you spend time in His presence? Who are you becoming as you spend time to learn from Christ? What divine revelation are you accessing as you spend time in the presence of El Roi? What are the eyes of your understanding opened to?
The moment the demon possessed man gained his freedom through Jesus’ intervention, he prioritized being at the feet of Jesus. The moment he transited out of bondage and into freedom, he sat at the feet of Jesus to hear Him speak. Hearing the word of the Lord was his priority as soon as he was delivered from demonic possession. As you transit from where you are to your high places, let the word of the Lord be your priority.
Welcome to that season where you must be intentional to seek more of the word of the Lord than ever before. Welcome to that season where you must choose to learn more and more from Christ.
DECLARATION:
I will not go down; no power of hell will pull me down, in Jesus’ name!
