TOPIC: The Secret Of Permanent Spiritual Fire
SCRIPTURE: Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Romans 12:11.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Connection to God is the secret of being on permanent spiritual fire. When you are disconnected from God, your fire dies.
Seeds of Destiny Friday 24 January 2025 – MESSAGE
Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that one secret of permanent spiritual fire is to be permanently connected to God. God is called the Consuming Fire and the Everlasting Burning (Hebrews 12:29, Isaiah 33:14-15). So, connection to God is the secret of being on permanent spiritual fire. When you are disconnected from God, your fire dies.
Many years ago, I heard the testimony of an eight-year-old boy. He read a book on the Indonesian revival titled ‘Like A Mighty Wind’ by Mel Tari. He said that as he was reading the book, he was picturing himself in those miracles. He would go to school and then returned from school and say: “Jesus, I want us to talk.” Then he would discuss with Jesus in prayer for six to eight hours, and the next day, he would return to school.
By the time this boy was at about eighteen years old, he already had a Ph.D. The same young man once prayed for someone with a piece of metal in his leg because of a fracture. The bone was not only healed; the metal turned into bone.
Now, what is the secret of maintaining permanent spiritual fire? It is to be permanently connected to God. Beloved, make up your mind to be on fire permanently by remaining permanently connected to God.
Remember this: Connection to God is the secret of being on permanent spiritual fire. When you are disconnected from God, your fire dies.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Refuse to allow your spiritual fire to die; maintain a constant connection with God.
- If you notice your fire is going down or dying, ignite it again by prayer, fasting and study of the Word of God.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You set me on fire afresh. I receive the grace to maintain a constant unbroken relationship with You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
