TOPIC: Paying Attention To Details
SCRIPTURE: Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom. Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NLT)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Paying attention to details is a pathway to greatness.
MESSAGE: I was in a flight one day with some pilots and one of them took me to the cockpit of the aircraft. He kept me at the cockpit and I was wondering why he kept me there.
After a while, the pilot began to tell me some things about the aircraft. He said to me, “You see this one, it is for this. The function of that one is this.”
Now, one of the things that moved me when he was talking to me was that he brought out a list of about thirty things.
So, I asked, “What is this?”
He said, “It is a check list.”
Then he continued, “Before you take the aircraft off the ground, you must tick all the items on the checklist and ensure that they are all in perfect shape”.
This means you ensure that the hydraulics of the aircraft is in good shape, and you tick it. Then you check the aircraft’s landing gear and ensure it is in a perfect condition, and then you tick it in the checklist. All the thirty items on the checklist must be checked and ticked appropriately. You must confirm that none of the things on the checklist has a challenge. When this is done, then you can take the aircraft from the ground into the air.
These items must be properly checked because there is no mechanic in the air to repair the aircraft when it develops a fault while flying.
Beloved, as it is with the aircraft, so it is with all other endeavours of life. So, you must pay attention to details in whatever you do in life. Paying attention to details is a pathway to greatness.
Remember this: Paying attention to details is a pathway to greatness.

- Refuse to take things for granted; pay attention to little details.
- Be thorough in whatever you do. Do not neglect minute details.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to be thorough in whatever I do. Help me to pay attention to little details, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
