TOPIC: The Byproduct of Vision
SCRIPTURE: And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. HABAKKUK 2:1.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: People of vision know that destiny is time sensitive.
In life, there are products, and there are byproducts. For instance, in the process of getting petrol from crude oil, there are other byproducts that can be obtained. After you have gotten the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), the real petrol, other products like the engine oil and bitumen used for road construction, etc. can also be gotten. That is how it is when vision is in view; there are byproducts that accompany vision in life. I call them the goodness of vision.
Today, we shall be looking at one of them which is the impartation of a sense of urgency. Vision impacts a sense of urgency.
Our anchor scripture confirms that people of vision are runners. …that he may run that readeth it (Habakkuk 2:1). People of vision are runners.
Beloved, please take note of the following about the sense of urgency:
1. Vision causes people to place high value and premium on time. People of vision value time. Every time you see a person who has no vision, he lacks value for time. People of vision know that destiny is time sensitive.
There were people who went to the airport and someone who was not travelling engaged them in a discussion, and they neatly missed their flight. The flight was missed on the frequency of association with a man without vision. When their flight was announced, they did not hear. But if they were in the company of those travelling with them, they would have all listened to the flight announcement together or drawn each other’s attention to it.
2. Vision brings deliverance from both indecision and procrastination. Indecision is the inability to make up one’s mind on time. Procrastination is delay in carrying out a necessary action.
People of vision think through their option diligently and make up their minds quickly. People without vision have no time to think through anything and they make up their minds sluggishly.
It is better not to miss road at all, but if you missed road, then retrace your steps to the right path. That way, you would know more roads, both how to succeed and how not to succeed. It is far better than dying on the same spot.
Remember this: People of vision know that destiny is time sensitive.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Have at least a vision that you are pursuing per time.
2. Avoid the company of visionless people.
3. Ask God for the grace to accomplish your visions.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to conceive the right vision. Help me to run with it and accomplish it, to the glory of Your Name, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
