TOPIC: Activating the Preservation Power of the Word

SCRIPTURE: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. PSALM 107:20.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What you eat, eats you up.

The animal, skunk, releases some stench, odoriferous substance from its anal glands, to ward off predators. The stench of the substance is too toxic for predatory animals to bear, so they would back off. That is one of their defense mechanisms.

Another way the skunk can escape predators is by running very fast towards a tree pretending as if it wants to embrace the tree, then swiftly runs off to the left or to the right, and its pursuer would run straight into the tree to its own harm. Amazing!

We have seen the defense mechanism that God gave to a skunk. Now, as children of God, what is our defense mechanism in a world full of wickedness and hostility? One of our defense mechanisms is the activation of the preservation power of the Word of God. And one way to activate the preservation power of God’s Word is by receiving the Word through instruction. That is, receiving the sent Word (Psalm 107:20).

Unlike the stench of the skunk, the Word of God has an aroma, and the Bible calls it the scent of water (Job 14:7-9). Water has a scent. We say that water does not smell, but when you come around water, you would know that you are around water. And the Water is the Word of God according to Ephesians 5:26. When the scent of that Water (Word) hangs around you, you are not pursuable. It creates a shield around you; you are not attackable. It raises your faith level, thereby making you untouchable and indestructible.

Beloved, whenever you are confronted or challenged, look for scriptural light from the Scripture or gospel materials such as messages preached by God’s servant, Dr Paul Enenche; messages like, ‘The Preservation power of the Word of God’ ‘They Are Dead’, ‘No Weapon Formed Shall Prosper’, etc. Use them to saturate your mind, irrigate your spirit, ventilate your mentality. That way, when you pass through certain places, the devil can perceive the Word that has become flesh in your life. This will make your life and destiny impenetrable by the devil and his agents. You see, what you eat, eats you up. You get lionized by eating lion’s food. When you hear words like these, you become very aggressive in the realm of spirit.

Beloved, let the Word of God form a shield of defense around your life and destiny, and you will not be a victim or casualty in a wicked world.

Remember this: What you eat, eats you up.

2. Let the Word of God be your weapon of defense whenever you are confronted.
3. Trust God for light whenever you listen to the preached Word or while studying the Bible.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. Send me a Word, a revelation that will form a shield around my life and family as I listen to, read or study Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
