TOPIC: Why Are Prayers Not Answered?
SCRIPTURE: For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. – Galatians 5:6.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where there is no love, faith cannot work; where there is no love, prayer cannot work.
SEEDS OF DESTINY 17TH APRIL 2024 MESSAGE
Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that faith worketh by love. This means that you need love to make your faith in God work. Where there is no love, faith cannot work. Where there is no love, you cannot access God and His Presence because it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6).
Today, there are many people wondering why their prayers are not answered and the reason why their faith is not working. The reason is the lack of love. Many people’s hearts are filled with grudges towards others. Some people who claim to pray habour malice against others. There are people they are not in talking terms with because of bitterness and malice. There are people they don’t greet or whose greetings they don’t answer. In fact there are people whose names should not be mentioned around them.
Beloved, it is important to know that where there is no love, faith cannot work; where there is no love, prayer cannot be answered. How can God answer the prayer of people with this kind of heart disposition? This is the reason why the faith of some Christians are impotent.
As it is not easy for an impotent man to cause his wife to have conception, in the same way, faith without love is impotent, and cannot produce results. Prayer without love in the heart of man cannot provoke answers from God. So, when you walk in love, you function in the interest of your faith.
Romans 1:17 says:
… The just shall live by faith.
This means, walking in love is walking to live; when you are walking in love, you are walking for your life. This is because you need your faith to live. So, lovelessness makes people impotent in faith. Things cannot move if love, which is the nature of God, or the nature of all possibility, is lacking. When love is lacking in a life, things are not possible in such a life. Doubt, unbelief and fear rear up their ugly heads in such a life because the faith that worketh by love is lacking.
REMEMBER THIS: Where there is no love, faith cannot work; where there is no love, prayer cannot work.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Refuse to allow lovelessness hinder the answers to your prayer.
2. Release love so you can access God and His Presence for His intervention in your life.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from lovelessness. Clothe me with Your love so I can access Your Presence and express Your love to my world, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
