Seeds of Destiny 14th May 2025 (Wednesday SOD Devotional) Message
TOPIC: The Force of Light
SCRIPTURE: And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. JOHN 1:5.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Illumination determines acceleration.
Light is one of the greatest assets of life. For instance, sunlight is the basis of life on earth. Photosynthesis, the process where food (carbohydrates) production is made available for plants is by access to light.
So, light is crucial to life. As light is in the physical, so it is in the spiritual. The difference between the impacts of two Christians is in their varying degrees of access to light.
Beloved, your light is what determines your flight in life.
Now, what force is in light? We are looking at five forces of light.
1. Light dissolves darkness: Light is strong enough to disarm and melt darkness (John 1:5). Darkness here refers to satan, the devil, his agents, agenda, and activities. Light is what will make the powers of your father’s house not to bury your destiny.
2. Light uncovers darkness. It is light that makes you see what darkness has covered (Isaiah 45:3, Daniel 2:20).
Beloved, it may look as if God has denied you what is yours, but in essence, it is darkness that has covered it. There are potential billionaires who are struggling with what to eat. That is why you need light to uncover darkness and deliver to you what belongs to you.
3. Light brings clarity. Clarity is called understanding, and that understanding is the food for faith. When light arrives, your understanding is enlarged, and faith comes alive (Daniel 5:11).
4. Light brings direction. When light comes, you know the steps to take, and the things to do (Job 29:3, Psalm 119:105).
5. Light brings acceleration (Job 29:3). The difference between the speed of people is the light they have. Illumination determines acceleration.
Today, light is coming your way, and your life shall go forward. Every spirit of delay and stagnation that may have tied down your life before now is hereby arrested.
Remember this: Illumination determines acceleration.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Search the scripture and locate lights that can handle the challenges around you.
2. Mediate on the revelation of the word, and declare it continuously to keep your life lighted.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that you show me the light that will terminate whatever is not of you in my life. Darkness has no place in me by the power of your light Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
