TOPIC: The Power of Agreement Prayer
SCRIPTURE: Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:13-15
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The prayer of faith brings one person into agreement with another person that is in need.

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that the prayer of faith is one channel for supernatural healing. The prayer of faith can heal the sick and deliver the oppressed.
The question is, how does the prayer of faith work?
The prayer of faith works by the power of agreement. The power of agreement makes the prayer of faith work (Matt 18:19).
When one who is sound in faith comes into agreement in prayer with the one who is sick, there is power in such an agreement.
Beloved, if you are sick, please, don’t be too proud to be prayed for or prayed with. It is not weakness but scriptural to agree with one another in the prayer of agreement in times of need (Matthew 18:19).
The person agreeing with you in prayer may even appear to be at a lower level than you. The person may not be at your level of faith; the person could even be your child.
Sometime ago, a small girl ran to the altar and insisted on shaking hands with me. I never knew what it was. When I shook hands with her, she took that hand to the hospital where her mother was scheduled for a surgical operation. Her mother was to undergo a caesarean section because of a protracted or obstructed labour.
This little girl laid her hands on the abdomen of her mother by faith, and after few minutes, her mother gave birth to the baby without the surgery.
So, you can have a prayer of agreement with even your child. There is nothing God respects like agreement. The prayer of faith brings one person into agreement with another person that is in need.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Don’t take the prayer of agreement for granted.
2. Always endeavour to pray with someone in need or agree for someone to pray with you when the need arises.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace and humility to agree with brethren in prayer, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
