Scripture Union Daily Guide 31 July 2024 Outline:
We now deal with the regulations regarding the dedication of property to the Lord. We note that anything dedicated to the Lord becomes holy and therefore set apart for holy use during the period for which it is dedicated. The person making the dedication has the choice to redeem his/her property but under what condition? See vs.15&19.
The Priests were the representatives of God to the people and God relied on them to act faithfully on His behalf. Their word on all these transactions carried a lot of weight. Do the clergy of today carry such responsibilities and can the Lord trust them with such transactions?
Vs. 28-34 show that some things are unredeemable because they already belonged to God. This is to teach us that money cannot always be a substitute for the services we are expected to render to the Lord (See 1 Samuel 15:13-23). In general, we are to honour the Lord with all that we have, thereby acknowledging that He is the owner of everything. We are to give cheerfully and in appreciation of our redemption purchased by the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19).

Closing Prayer
Lord, thank you for redeeming me by the blood of your son, Jesus Christ. Let me not hold back anything you may want me to offer for the furtherance of your kingdom.
Offer a prayer of faith in line with Romans 8:31
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

THANK GOD FOR:
‣ His abiding presence with His Children even in trials of faith.
‣ The comfort His children receive through His word.
PRAY FOR:
‣ As many as are passing through difficult times, that they will continue to trust God for grace to pull through.
‣ They will not give in to the lies of the devil, saying God does not care for them.
