Outline For Scripture Union Daily Guide 21 December 2023
Paul’s letter to Titus is devoted to teaching sound doctrine, orderliness and Christian conduct that accord with godliness. Read v.1 again and note the direct connection between sound teachings, understanding and wholesome Christian living. This was Paul’s assignment to Titus.
Compare vs.2-3 with Ezra 7:10 and Acts 1:1. The first assignment to leaders is the practice of God’s Word before the teaching. Read vs.2-10 carefully again and write in your notebook, who is to teach? Who are to be taught? What should be the content of the teachings? How do your findings compare with the teachings in your Church today?
Titus was to teach older men and women, who in turn will teach younger men, younger women, and bondservants.
This places the responsibility for sound and wholesome teachings in the Church on all adults, not just Pastors. Older men and women, parents, elders, and deacons etc are to be involved. Are you involved? Compare Ephesians 4:11-15.
Vs.11-15 is a summary of God’s expectations from the End time Church. Consistent expectation of the glorious appearing of the Saviour that leads to running away from ungodliness and all forms of worldly trappings; while living soberly, righteously, and godly in a godless and riotous world.

Father, help me to live above the world, zealously serving you in holiness, unspotted by the world.
Offer a prayer of faith in line with Psalms 34:10

►God will continue to instruct us, and show us the way to go, that we might be prospered as He desires for us.
►Our spirits will be alert and hear Him as He speaks to us
►We will live lives that are in conformity with His Word always
►We might seek first His Kingdom
