It is worthy of note that King Solomon was careful to keep the rules for carrying the ark of God. Read 2 Samuel 6:1–10 and see what happened when the ark was carried incorrectly. The Priests were the sole carriers of the ark.
King Solomon was careful to learn from his father David the right way to handle matters concerning the Temple. Pastors and church leaders should learn from this. Do your best to keep the right Christian principles in all church administration. Now read vv.10–11 and observe what happened.
When our service to the Lord is pleasing in his sight, his glory is revealed. From vv.12–21, what do you observe was the focus of Solomon’s statements and prayers? The people of God hinge on the precious promises of God. What are some of the promises God has made to believers in Christ Jesus?
Check the following: Salvation ─ John 3:16; Acts 16:31 Peace ─ John 14:27 A place in heaven ─ John 14:1–3 Add more to these promises and references. Now hold firmly to God’s promises in your prayers.
