OPENING PRAYER: Oh Lord, grant me divine guidance as I read and meditate on your word in Jesus name.

Read vs.26 and 35 again to identify the purpose of instituting these sacrifices. It is amazing to realize that God always wants to have fellowship with His people and worshippers. From His perspective, we are very significant to Him. He misses us when we wander away. From today’s passage, note His desire to restore relationship with individual leader as well as ordinary people (v.27).
He wants them to realize their faults and trace their way back to Him. His desire is not primarily the sacrifices of His people (Psalm 51:16,17), rather, He wants to forgive and restore relationship and friendship. Amazing! The first question He asked Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is, “Where are you” (Genesis 3:9)? Should He call out and ask you same question today, what would your answer be?
Observe the size of animals required for each category of sinners. He requires a bull for the high priest, and the entire congregation, a goat for a leader (possibly lay) and sheep for the ordinary people who sin. What can we learn from these?
In all, the representative blood is rubbed on the horn of the altar by the high priest while the rest of the blood is poured out at the base of the altar. Fats are highly flammable hence they are removed and placed on the fiery altar. The other parts of the animals are carried to a sacred place where ashes are disposed of. What can we learn from this?

Dear Lord, help me to always maintain a good relationship with you.

* All SU workers and office\/travelling staff for divine safety in all their trips.
* The grace upon all the staff to serve in all their various offices.
PRAY FOR:
* All our staff and SU workers will follow the steps of Jesus in all their services.
* God will make them more fruitful for the kingdom.
* God will grant security and safety to all senior staff as they travel today for “Staff Development Workshop” at Okigwe.
PRAY AGAINST:
* Any setback for all who are expected to attend the Workshop
