Scripture Union Daily Guide 19th September 2022 Devotional for Monday
TOPIC: All Nations in worship
OPENING PRAYER: Dear Lord, may the entrance of your word bring light and life to all I will do today.
SCRIPTURE: Revelations 15:1‐8
Scripture Union Daily Guide 18th September 2022 MESSAGE
In fulfilment of God’s word, He brings His judgment upon the antichrist. That accomplished, the angels declare the victories of our God and King. Observe the appearance of the angels: their preparedness to minister in holiness. They carry out God’s divine judgment against the enemy. They also carry out God’s plan of deliverance for the church. Their execution of justice signals the fulfilment of God’s word that He will destroy the enemy and usher in the perfected state of the church.
According to v.2, notice those who will be the truly victorious ones in this life. Observe the song that they sing unto God (vs.3‐4) and the things they declare about our God in this song. Carefully note who He is, what He does, His ways and how we are to relate to Him!
When the glory of the Lord appears, it is either for approval or for judgment. See Exodus 40:34‐35; 1 Kings 8:10‐11 cf. Numbers 16:19‐21. Therefore, what happens when God’s glory appears depends on how we now relate with Him and His word.
