Scripture Union Daily Guide 15th May 2023 MESSAGE:
There was a daily provision of sacrifice for sin to be made morning and evening by the priest throughout the year (vs.38-39), just as there was an obligatory daily sacrifice for Aaron and his sons during the seven days of their consecration (cf. vs.35-36). Under the old covenant, before sinful man can approach the Holy God, animal blood must be shed to take care of the problem of sin.
However, Jesus Christ, by His death and resurrection, solved the problem of sin once and for all (Hebrews 10:11-14). Under New Covenant, believers are called to live a holy life and not to give any occasion for sin.
Read vs.42-46 again and note the things God promised to do for His people when they obey His instructions. God desires a close and loving relationship with His people. He will dwell with them and be their God. Have you dealt with sin in your life so you can enjoy a rich fellowship with the Lord? This does not come by doing good works but only by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.

What Next: Do you have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? If not, can you make it your prayer today? If yes, appreciate God for such loving grace that has saved you and serve Him faithfully henceforth.

► The 2023 emphasis on family week.
► Our families, relatives and members of God’s house-hold in SU.
PRAY FOR:
► The unity of the Christian homes even as they allow God to be the head of their homes instead of making Him the “unseen guest”.
► Deliberate decision to make our families follow Godly patterns as we follow God’s instructions for the homes.
► Christian love and Godly discipline within the families.
PRAY AGAINST:
► Dishonour, Disrespect and quarrelling as we see lately even in Christian homes.
► Raising wayward children who will bring shame to the name of the Lord and to the family.
