OPENING PRAYER: Oh Lord, grant me spiritual insight into the truth of your word as I study it.
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: EXODUS 17: 1-16
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

SU DAILY GUIDE MESSAGE:
While God’s presence had not left the Israelites since their miraculous deliverance from slavery in Egypt, they complained against Moses their leader because they lacked water (vs.2, 3). What lesson can you learn from the people’s reaction to the situation compared to that of Moses (vs.4, 6)? Looking up to man and not to God leads to frustration. God provides as He has promised in His word (Hebrews 13: 5). He never forsakes His own.
Have you ever observed the ants moving a dead insect, much bigger than them, from one location to another? They cooperate with each other to accomplish this huge task. The Israelite army defeated the Amalekites successfully but not without a background prayer support (vs.10-12). In team-spirit, Aaron and Hur supported Moses, their leader. Do you recognize when your pastor or other brethren direly need your support? How do you engage your time and other resources to encourage and pray with brethren? It is important to give the honour to God whenever we win a battle (v.15), and to keep records of God’s dealings in our life (vs.14,16).
PRACTICE/WORD APPLICATION
And So: Make a list of ways you can be a team player with your leaders in your Church or Fellowship.

Help me Lord, to pray for my leaders and cooperate with brethren to carry out your will on earth.
PRAYER FOR THE WEEK
► Pray for the church in Nigeria that the Lord will renew their strength.
► Remember the Christian Association of Nigeria, and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and other
Christian bodies world-wide that the Lord will enable them stand for Him at all times.

► Giving us the responsibility in SU to work with churches as we labour among children, youths and families.
► The fruit of spiritual growth as we sit at God’s feet in this Easter Retreat.
PRAY FOR:
► Unity of mind as brethren labour ceaselessly to ensure a hitch free Easter Retreat.
► Peace as brethren obey camp rules, walk and work according to the rules given.
► Brethren who came with personal needs and requests that God will reach out to them in this retreat.
► The theme, that it will accomplish what was intended in the Pilgrim’s lives.
PRAY AGAINST:
► Our loosing our rewards for failing to meet with God’s demand upon our lives.
► Grumbling due to shortage of food and facilities.
