Scripture Union Daily Guide 13 February 2026 | OUTLINE
Jeremiah received a message from God and was sent to the temple of God to proclaim it (Jeremiah 26:1-3). Is the content of Jeremiah’s message in Jeremiah 26:4-7 still relevant to us today? Notice the response of the recipients of the message. The message of “repent or you perish” is the same Gospel message today and it is an unpopular message, and is usually opposed, most sadly, by the religious leaders; priests and other false leaders (Jeremiah 26:7-9).
Read Jeremiah 26:10-24 and find out the examples we should follow in dispensing cases or settling quarrels. Judah’s government officials in deciding the case between Jeremiah and the Temple leaders, allowed both sides to present their cases before they took a decision. This is good for a balanced decision based on facts. Elders and leaders of the people also spoke in favour of Jeremiah who received the message from God. To fight and eliminate sin, all people on the side of God must rise with one mind and one voice to condemn it irrespective of the position of those in authority or the person the sinner might be.
And So
Decide to represent God both to preach His Word and settle people’s quarrels impartially.

PRAYER FOCUS
EFFECTIVE CAMPAIGN AGAINST SEXUAL IMMORALITY IN THE GUISE OF VALENTINE CELEBRATION
“If she is a wall, we will build towers of silver on her. If she is a door, we will enclose her with panels of cedar.” Song. 8:9.
THANK GOD FOR:
•It is His will to keep our young people sexually pure.
•A good number of our youths who have imbibed and living a chaste life to the praise of His name.
•Leaving for us a perfect example of what love is all about by sending His son to die for us.
PRAY FOR:
•The eyes of understanding of many young people to be opened to the need for them to shun immorality and be a wall rather than a door exposing oneself to several dangers.
•All pilgrims/volunteers to be awakened to pray and teach our young people wherever they are on how to manage their sexuality positively.
PRAY AGAINST:
•The evil teachings and influence of showing love through sexual immorality as being promoted by the media.
•Demonic scales of blindness; that it be uprooted out of the life of our youths.
