Lombard Street at Presidio Boulevard inside The Presidio in San Francisco, California, has earned the honor of being the most winding street in the world. The street was purposely designed to make very sharp turns to allow cars to navigate the hill’s steep grade and be less of a hazard to pedestrians.
Lombard Street was strategically twisted for ease of travel. Can you imagine the deathtrap it would be if it were a steep, straight incline? Contrast this to Satan who has set crooked places to entrap us. He has devised a winding maze of deception to detour us from our heavenly purpose.
The Messiah came to make the crooked places straight. Jesus, the Anointed One, has gone ahead of us. He will break in pieces the barrier erected between God’s provision and us. Your barrier is your benefit. Trust in the Lord. He will use your problem to propel you from where you are to where He wants you to be.
Jesus, thank You for making my way straight and tearing down every obstacle between my destiny and me.
