When we seek the Holy Spirit, He gives us wisdom to make the right choices each day. God gave Adam and Eve everything and gave them one very important instruction: “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die” (Genesis 2:16-17).
But Satan, as he always does, tried to thwart God’s plan and said: “You surely will not die! For God knows that on the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:4).
Adam and Eve made the mistake of thinking life would be better if they knew the difference between good and evil themselves. People are still making that mistake today, thinking they know what is right or wrong, based on their desires. We must repent, change the way we think and act, so that we believe God, not the enemy and our own lustful flesh.
Holy Spirit, help me bring glory and honor to Jehovah Joshua Messiah by the choices that I make each day.
