TOPIC:Ā Let God Approve You

DAILY BIBLE READING:Ā Isaiah 45-47

TEXT: “But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” 1 Sam. 16 :7

Rhema For Living 8 September 2022 MESSAGE

Man may approve you which of course is good but without God’s approval, it ends in futility. The ultimate approval is God’s approval. When God approves you, He eventually compels men to approve you.

Let God approve you God’s approval is saying yes to you. It is God backing you; it is God endorsing you.

That you are doing something and everyone is singing your praises does not mean God approves. That you are having results does not necessarily mean God’s approval. Romans 11 :29; says, “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” That God allows you to go on with your gift and it still yields result does not mean He approves you.

He may allow you to go on because He is long suffering and He looks forward to your coming back to Him, but when the time elapses, the consequences of such action of not getting God’s approval set in.

Samson made a very costly mistake. His gift of unusual strength when the Spirit comes upon him was mistaken for God’s approval. He kept on doing the things that were against the restrictions God gave him and ended up marrying a woman from the enemy’s camp.

Eventually she had her way on him and one day told him that the Philistines had come to capture him. As usual, he said he would go out as other times and shake himself but he never knew that the LORD was departed from him. Judges 16 :20

I pray for you, may you not lose God’s approval.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! may I not lose your approval…
