DAILY BIBLE READING: Joshua 4-6
TEXT: “And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; Gen.13 :10 – 11.
Child of God, no decision leaves you the same whether good or bad. So don’t trivialize any decision because it is that decision that will lead to the next decision you make. Men or great destinies have been ruined by decision you made.
It was the decision that Sarah made in giving her maid to her husband, Abraham in their period of waiting for God’s promised child that brought about Ishmael, the lineage causing pain to the body of Christ today.
People soar high form glory to glory because of right decision; but bad ones lead to regret and sorrow.
To always make right decision, you must think right because decisions are products of thoughts. How then can you think right? It is by storing the word of God in your heart. When you are full of God’s word, it governs your thoughts, words and actions.
You must not be at peace when you are deviating from the right path and making a wrong decision. The word of God makes your conscience alive, it makes you to long for the leading of the Holy Spirit, because the word and the Spirit are one. Depend always on the leading of the Holy Ghost; do not keep Him out.
As you fellowship with Him in prayers, also enquiry from Him on what decision to make, He guides you on the right path.
Also, be ready to pay whatever cost is involved in making the right decisions. I have discovered that right decisions may cost you some temporary discomfort, but they definitely bring you greater glory.
So like Joseph, Daniel, Moses, Shedrach, Meshach, Abednego and the host of others who went all the way for the right decision and prevailed, go through and soar by making the right decisions.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, no more will I make wrong decisions.
