TOPIC: True Source of Help
BIBLE READING: Leviticus 13-15
TEXT: “And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?” – 2 Kings 6 :27.
The question of our anchor text is a sentence to prove that all help comes from God. In that passage of scripture, the king was speaking to one of his subjects acknowledging that all the power and resources at his disposal, he could help no one except God uses him.
All help comes from God, but God uses men for men are His hand. That is why you are to look up to God for help and as you do, open up yourself to Him to send help to you however He chooses.
Stop depending on man for help because the arm of flesh can fail, it takes God empowering his channels of help to meet up with their promise to help you. If they are not bound to fail as in the nature of man. God is the true source of help; so give Him glory for every help He has given unto you. Look up to Him for help as the Psalmist declares in Psalms 121 :1 – 2; “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Appreciate His channels of help, but give the glory to God. Stop putting pressure on people to help you, that is misdirecting your effort because until God helps, they cannot help you. Everyone therefore that is used of God to render help should count it a privilege to be used by God to help another and always give Him glory by acknowledging that it is Him that made it possible to render help to others.
I pray for you, God will empower you as His channel of help…
