Who Is Your Pastor?

If you do not delight in studying God’s word, committed to it as Joshua 1 verse 8 instructs, who is your pastor? The word of God is the blue print of good success. It is the compass of life that navigates your life on the path of righteousness to fulfilling destiny. You cannot know the word and not rule your world. The word of God guides you, pilots your affairs. Hence the Psalmist says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psa. 119 :105.
The word of God shields your life from sin. When you hid God’s word in your heart, it stirs up love for righteousness and hatred for sin in you, holding you back from committing sin. Psalms 119 : 11; says,” Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” If you want to live a life of ever pleasing the Father, it is via God’s word..
The word of God cleanses (Psa. 119 :9) and also sanctifies (John 17 :17). It heals and delivers from destruction (Psa.107 :20). It is life and divine health. When you are rich in the Word, sicknesses and diseases have no hiding place in you because the two cannot cohabit. With God’s word, you enjoy length of days in good health. John 6 :63; says, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
When the Word enters you in any aspect of life, the spirit of the word enters you and gives life, quickening you therein.
No wonder scripture says in John 8 :32; “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
If therefore you desire life in good health, yield to God’s counsel in Proverbs 4 :20 – 22
Child of God, I am a pastor of the word. If you don’t live God’s word, who is your pastor?
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, empower me afresh to desire your word like my pastor.
