OFM RHEMA FOR LIVING DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Rhema For Living 31st January 2023 OFM Devotional From The Desk of God’s Oracle, Apostle (Prof) Johnson Suleman. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
TOPIC: Living Like Jesus (10)
BIBLE READING: Exodus 37-38
TEXT: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12 :2.
Living like Jesus is practically questionable without a praying lifestyle because Jesus was a man of prayer. He was prayer personified. Not only did He teach his disciples how to pray. (Matthew 6:9-13), praying was his lifestyle. He was a man who enjoyed fellowship with the Father, a man of the secret place, always separating Himself to pray. He was a man of the mountain; there He settles issues, He only comes out publicly to issue commands and that settles it.
In Matthew 24 :23; scripture says if Him, “And when he had sent the multitude away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.” A man of fellowship spends time in the place of prayer. Prevailing prayer takes time. There are depths in God you cannot attain until you separate yourself to pray. In Luke 6 :12; scripture says, “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.”
Jesus utilized the night season, the best time to pray and control the course of the day. Job 38 :12; says, “Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;” He was also a man who believed in cooperate prayer. He took Peter, John and James and they went up into the mountain to pray. Luke 9 :28.
Jesus was a man of earnest and fervent prayer. He prayed in Luke 22 :44; that His sweat was described as great drops of blood falling to the ground.
No wonder he could command tremendous power as James 5 :16; says. What a lifestyle to emulate and fulfill destiny gloriously.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, baptize me afresh with the passion to pray. I want to live like Jesus
