Rhema For Living 3 October 2022 OFM Devotional MESSAGE
One thing to always pray to God for, is for His mercy over your life and affairs. Efforts only counts when mercy is in view. That is why scriptures says, “so then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy” (Rom. 9:16) “Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph. 2 :9). Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us… ” Titus 3 :5
His mercy is the difference why two persons with the same excellent result applied for a job in a firm, one was called for interview and the other was not.
His mercy is the difference why just an attempt at iniquity one is caught, beaten and thrown in prison while the other despite several iniquities is still walking freely thinking he is smart. His mercy is the difference why you both did the same spiritual exercise, you both prayed, fasted, have sacrificial seeds, and you received the answer of what you prayed for while your partner is still expectant.
Seeing therefore that God’s mercy makes the difference, you are always to appreciate Him for His mercy speaking for you and always cry more for His mercy everyday.
Scripture says His compassion are new every morning Lam. 3 :23
So even if you read for an exam and passed, celebrate Him for His mercy in even making you sane to get to that level, empowering you to read and understand and also making you excel in the exam. It is not by might nor power but by my Spirit saith the Lord of host (Zech. 4 :6), for it is God that worketh in us both to will and to do of is good pleasure. Phil. 2:13.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, thank you for your mercy over my life and affairs.
