BIBLE READING: Deut. 16-18
TEXT: “And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And she arise, and ministered unto them.”
Matt. 8 :14 – 15.
Ephesians 2 :10; states, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” If therefore we are his workman, we are to minister to him with every of our being and all that He has given us. That breakthrough, that miracle, that restoration, that answer to prayer is so that you can be more efficient in ministering to the Lord.
You are alive today because GOD wants you to minister to Him. He wants you to carry out that good works which will bring glory to His name.
He gave you sound health so you can function effectively in that which will advance the kingdom. He didn’t bless you with riches so you can indulge in ungodly acts, No! Every good and perfect thing which cometh from Him is for you minister to Him. When He touched Peter’s mother-in-law, she arose and ministered to them, her healing was not for to gossip, slander people, or sit idle.
She understood that her been made whole should profit God so she ministered to them. What have you done with the financial breakthrough you just got? Did you have God in your plans?. That promotion in your place of work which increased your income, did it also increase your offering or you still maintained the former amount?
That admission into higher institution of learning, is your life preaching the gospel and glorifying God?
That voice He gave you, are you singing to His glory?
Child of God, it is to retrace your step and align your ways to divine purpose. All we are and have is to minister to the Lord.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to understand purpose.
