Rhema For Living 17th January 2023 OFM Devotional MESSAGE

Good of God, the promises of God are very sure but you must be sensitive so as not be manipulated or perverted from the perfect will of God. God told Abram in chapter 15; that he that shall come out of his own bowels shall be his heir and in no distant time in chapter 16; the very next chapter, the devil came into the scene to introduce an heir who came forth out of Abram’s bowels but the truth is, he is not God’s heir, the child of promise that God spoke about.

The devil manipulated the wife of Abram, Sarai and she gave her Egyptian maid Hagar to her husband and he went into her and she conceived and have birth to a son called Ishmael. Listen; that it looks like IT does not make it IT.

If it is not God’s perfect will, then it is not. Never you settle for what looks like the promise or be hasty to leap at wherever looks like the promise because God has spoken.

The aim of the false is to permanently deceive you away from the real (truth) where lies the blessings. That was why when God was speaking of Abram having child through Sarah with whom He would establish His covenant, Abraham replied, ‘O that Ishmael may live before thee” Gen. 17 :18; why? Because he already had a consolation child, trying to deceive him from his covenant blessing.

But God re-emphasized the promise that Sarah his wife shall bear him a son indeed which he shall call Isaac and with him, He will establish His covenant Gen. 17 :19. God is indeed committed to His promise, so hold on.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, every plan of the enemy to deceive me from the perfect will of God, be frustrated by fire.
