Rhema For Living 17th June 2022 Devotional MESSAGE

Many times, the prayers we importunately make to God are like clouds gathering together. They gather over a period of time until thick layers of clouds are formed. Heavy torrents of rain will then begin to fall over the area where the clouds were formed (Eccl. 11 :3).

From this illustration, we observe that the result of cumulative prayers can be greater at the appointed time. From the anchor text, the time to favour you – a child of God is declared to be now!

It therefore follows that you can fast forward your time for actualizing God’s favour to the present. Such was the case of the wedding at Cana of Galilee (John 2 :2 – 5). In the middle of the celebration, the wine ran out. What an embarrassment! What a shame! Jesus was at the occasion with His disciples and so was His mother Mary. Knowing the power of God in her son, she approached Him for assistance to remedy the situation.

Jesus however told her His hour was not yet come. She nevertheless by faith went ahead to tell the servants that whatever he asks them to do, they should do it (John 2 :5). Before the ‘nakeedness’ of the celebrants became exposed, Jesus covered them up by performing His first ever miracle of turning water to wine, a wine of incomparable quality.
