BIBLE READING: Numbers 16-18
TEXT: “And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.” Eze. 37 :3.
In the course of this message, we established that dry bones situations can come alive by God’s intervention and not by the arm of the flesh. Also that there is need to discover the location housing the dry bones so as to deal with the problem from the root.
In today’s message we are looking at another necessary thing for dry bones to come alive which is you must trust God absolutely. You must wholly trust His judgment, knowing and accepting that you cannot help yourself.
You must understand that God is fully aware of the situation and can do all things and rest in His love by trusting and obeying Him all the way. Proverbs 3 :5 – 6; emphasized this saying, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
After God took Ezekiel to the location of the bones, God asked him a question to find out if Ezekiel trusted him enough to accept His decisions, follow His directives and carry out His instructions without fail. God asked him, “son of man, can these bones live?”
It was a question that Ezekiel would have answered with YES or NO to state his opinion on the issue but he referred it back to God, the All-knowing, the All-powerful, the reliable, the dependable, the one whose ability and wisdom is what matter and count, the solution provider who specializes in handling problems and terminating them from their root.
The same question also applies to you this day. ‘can I change you situation for good?’ Can I give you that testimony you desire? Do you believe I can make you soar in victory and enjoy rest on every side? It only you can look up to Him, trusting Him, every dry bone in your live will live again.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to trust and obey you in the midst of battles.
