Scarcity in the House of Bread

TEXT: “Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he and his wife, and his two sons.”. Ruth 1 :1

Bethlehem-judah is the House of bread. Scarcity in the House of bread is not permanent, only a temporary condition. For the fact that it is called the house of bread, there is greater possibility that bread is sure to return to the House of bread and very certain to be regular than where there are only mercy drops of bread which can be considered as crumps and can be out of supply at any time.
Bethlehem-judah is God’s own city, occupied by God’s people and it is the house of bread with God as the supplier.
So you can imagine the nature of the scarcity in such a place. It can only be for a season, not permanent. And it may be as a result of the iniquity of the people and not as a result of the incapability of the supplier. The supplier is the Elshaddai, the All sufficient God, Eph. 3 :20.
In such a situation, what a child of God is expected to do is to cry to God to have mercy on them and meet their needs, not to look for alternative outside God to get help.
Scripture says, “Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help…” Isa. 31 :1.
And surprisingly, a man of Bethlehem-judah called Elimelech and his wife Naomi at that temporary season of scarcity in the house of bread relocated with their two sons to Moab, an enemy’s territory. Their relocation was to avoid famine, (scarcity of bread), but unknown to them, in going down to Moab (Egypt) is opening up to the devourer who couldn’t penetrate them in Bethlehem-judah.
In Moab, Naomi lost her husband and two sons. She left full to Moab but became empty.
Hear me; God shields and preserves His people where He instructs them to be.
Child of God, endure hardness as soldiers of Christ in the House of bread.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace to endure hardship in the House of bread…..
