TOPIC: Victory in Christ Jesus
BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 10-12
TEXT : “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”. 1Cor. 15 :57.
As a believer, you are born into a life of victory. The Bible says “For whatever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5 :4). Now that you have come into the kingdom. God expects you to experience that victory every day. As for as God is concerned, there is no challenge big enough and no demon powerful enough to stop you from walking in victory.
The only thing you need do is to walk in the light of that victory.
To walk in the light of your victory means to live with the consciousness that you are a victor in Christ Jesus.
It means to have the mindset of a partaker of the divine nature (2 Peter 1 :4). In other words, you have God’s nature of success and victory; you are indomitable in this life. Have this consciousness, let it become your meditation, that you are an overcomer and a victor in Christ Jesus! With such mindset, the challenges you face will be a walkover for you because you confront them with faith in the victory of Christ.
That is what it means to fight a good fight of faith; confronting the lies of the devil with the truth if God’s word about you. It was the understanding and mindset that Apostle Paul had and still declared despite all the things he earlier mentioned as oppositions, saying, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”. Christ’s victory procured our victory.
We are victorious even before the battle against us began because Christ won it all for us. In every battle, we are to arm ourselves with the truth of our victory in God’s word and reign in victory.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, thank you for my victory in Christ.
