LEVITICUS 20:13
[13]If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
ROMANS 1:26-27
[26]For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[27]And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-11
[9]Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
[10]Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
[11]And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

LESSON AIM: At the end of the lesson, teenagers should be able to discover what the bible says about homosexuality
CENTRAL TRUTH: Your sexual identity must be founded on God’s design of sexuality established in the Word
INTRODUCTION: In today’s world, teenagers are constantly exposed to
different views on sexuality. Movies, music, social media, and even some educational systems promote acceptance of lifestyles that may not align with God’s Word. As Christians, it is important to understand what the Bible teaches about homosexuality.
During the last 30 years, homosexuality has become an open and controversial issue in our society. Before then, homosexuality was not openly discussed and was almost universally viewed by society as a sin. Today, especially in the western world, homosexuals and lesbians have gained substantial momentum. They have “come out” as the term goes and “left their closets Through various social media handles, they are preaching their doctrine of tolerance, equality, justice, and love. They do not want to be perceived as abnormal or dangerous. They want to be recognized and accepted socially and politically, etc. There’s an acronym that describes these groups of sexual perverters as LGBTQ: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexuals, Transgender and Queer.
L (Lesbian): A woman who is emotionally, romantically, or sexually attracted to other women.
G (Gay): A person who is attracted to people of the same sex, often used to describe a man attracted to other men, but it cari also apply to anyone attracted to the same or similar genders.
B (Bisexual): A person who is attracted to more than one gender, often both men and women.
T (Transgender): A person whose gender identity differs from the sex they
Q (Queer/Questioning): “Queer” is an umbrella term for those who dentify outside of the gender binary and/or sexual orientation norms, while questioning refers to individuals who are exploring their gender identity or sexual orientation.
In this study, we shall examine the biblical perspective and the Christian worldview regarding this subject matter.
STUDY GUIDE
A. WHAT IS HOMOSEXUALITY?
1. Homosexuality is sexual perversion, having sex with people of the same sex
2. Pedophilia is a perverted sexual attraction towards children.
3. Bestiality is an abnormal sexual relationship with animals
4. God forbids all perverted sexual relationships. Romans 1:32
B. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY? Leviticus 20:13-
1. In the Old Testament, God gave the Israelites moral laws. Homosexual behavior was considered a serious sin which shows the gravity of the offense in God’s sight. Romans 1:26-27-
2. Paul explains that when people turn away from God, they embrace sinful desires, including same-sex relationships, which are described as unnatural and a result of rejecting God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
3. Paul lists various sins, including homosexuality, that prevent people from inheriting the Kingdom of God. But verse 11 is key: “Such were some of you…” This shows that change is possible through Jesus.
C. THE DANGER INVOLVED
Homosexuality attracts God’s judgement. Such judgement includes:
1. Doing what is not becoming, indecorous, and shameful. Romans 1:26-28
2. Their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins
3. They do not feel remorse for doing wrong things or committing errors-Proverbs 10: 17, Hebrews 3:7-10
4. They may be living an unrepentant life. 2 Cor.4:3-4
5. They may be unable to obtain forgiveness. Act. 8:22
6. They cannot obtain salvation in such a state. Hebrews 2:3; Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 7:10, Romans 10:10
D. CHRISTIANITY AND HOMOSEXUALITY
CHRISTIAN’S RESPONSE TO THE HOMOSEXUAL Lev. 19:18, 1 Tim. 1:5
1. Homosexuality is a sin, and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible-Rom 13.9
2. It needs to be laid at the cross and repented of Rom. 6:6, Eph.4-22
3. Christians should pray for the salvation of the homosexual- James 5 16, 1 Kings 13:6.
4. However, this does not mean that Christians should approve of their sin
5. Christians should not compromise their witness for a politically correct opinion that is shaped by guilt and fear – Col. 4:5-6
E. WAY OUT OF HOMOSEXUALITY
Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners and it is not His will for any sinner to die. Because of this He has provided a way out to all sinners. Below are the steps to take you out.
1. Acknowledge that you have an orientation apart from God’s design
2. Run to God in repentance 1 John 1:9
3. Receive God’s grace to begin to live right John 3:16
4. Renew your mind by the word of God, allow God’s word to change how you think. Rom. 12:2, Jer 29-11
5. Pray always 1 Thess 5:17
6. Walk with the right company
SUMMARY: The Bible clearly teaches that homosexuality is a sin. However, it also teaches that no sin is beyond God’s forgiveness. Those who turn to Christ in repentance and faith can be washed, sanctified, and justified. As believers, we are called to stand on truth while extending love and compassion.
CONCLUSION: The Bible surely has crystal clear statements against homosexuality: Your sexual orientation can change, renew your mind through God’s word so that you can begin to see yourself the way God sees you. Rom. 12:2 God sees you in His image, created as male or female, not by any other definition the world has come to terms with. Gen. 2:26 Find your identity in Christ, not in your sexuality. 2 Corin. 5:17.
