“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
PRAYER OF THE DAY:
Lord Jesus,
Today we pause in reverence and gratitude for the sacrifice You made on our behalf. You, the spotless Lamb of God, took on our sin, our shame, our punishment—willingly, lovingly, completely. You were pierced not for Your own wrongs, but for ours. Crushed not by accident, but by divine design, so that we could be made whole.
You bore our pain to bring us peace. You wore our wounds to give us healing. In every lash, every bruise, every drop of blood—there was purpose. There was mercy. There was love.
We come before You with humble hearts, overwhelmed by the depth of Your grace. Forgive us for the times we’ve forgotten the cost of our freedom. Forgive us when we take Your mercy for granted or when we live in fear instead of faith.
Today, we ask for the healing You promised—healing of our bodies, healing of our hearts, healing of our relationships, and healing of our world. Let Your resurrection power bring new life to the places that feel broken and hopeless within us.
Help us to carry Your cross not only in memory, but in mission. Teach us to love sacrificially, serve selflessly, and walk humbly, just as You did. Let Your wounds remind us that we are never alone in our suffering—You are a Savior who understands.
Give us courage to walk in the freedom You won. Let Your peace reign in our homes, our thoughts, and our communities. And let Your healing touch flow through us, that we may be agents of restoration in a hurting world.
Thank You for loving us beyond what we could earn. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for the empty tomb. And thank You, Jesus, for being our Redeemer, our Healer, and our everlasting Hope.
